"It is all about endurance"- I. I know this is a lie. This mindfuck has no power to motivate me. No power to reignite the spirit and to strengthen the all bruised body of mine.
I am in deep pain. The pain caused to the immovable object by an unstoppable force (lifted from The Dark Knight) called time.
I am sitting inn my room as the light flickers because of the voltage fluctuation. I turn off the fan fearing of a damage to the motor. I can see the lines of sweat coming.
I wipe the sweat off my face and start looking in the mirror. The adrenaline, The roars, The strength, The fight, The submission and then the peace. I remember everything. Eachand every detail of it.
Asudden force of realization hits me. I clench my fists. Then .....Then I talk to myself.
" Rise up!
Rise Up O Warrior!
For their souls need to be cleansed and purified of all the filth. For they want to see the bright light and the true colours nature had gifted them.
Rise Up!
The battleground is ready.
Pick up the Detergent Powder and the Brush. Let that be all you need. Wash your clothes that have been in the bucket since yesterday .
Rise Up!
Rise Up for tommorrow is MONDAY......"

The poems are all good and the best part is being free verses they are way from all the confinements of a meter and rythm. It gives the poet a chance to drop all inhibitions and get rid of the euphemism evident in more classic poetry. I feel the writer is good at sarcasm and must employ them for more serious issues.
ReplyDeleteA contemporary work and in the age when likes of Sibal have transformed text messaging into writing pads for poetry, the new form of exaggerating minor instances in life and leaving some philosophical under tones is a radical form of writing.
Well my personal favourite is the second one.
